Everything you need to thrive comes from the earth. In fact, your body is made up of the same elements that are found in nature. Like a flower that blooms among so many others, you're here to grow and flourish by staying connected to Mother Earth.

"Until a man duplicates a blade of grass, nature can laugh at his so-called scientific knowledge. Remedies from chemicals will never stand in favorable comparison with the products of nature, the living cell of a plant, the final result of the rays of the sun, the mother of all life." Thomas Edison

ACTION STEPS

Mother Earth provides exactly what you need to heal, lower stress, reduce inflammation, boost your immune system, and stay healthy. Like Hippocrates said: "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be they food." That means organic whole foods, herbs, and spices from the earth are the best kind of medicine.

One way to connect is by standing or walking barefoot on the earth. When your skin makes contact with the ground your body receives a natural boost of energy. As a bioelectric being this is the perfect way for you to stay grounded and energized.

To stay connected, spend more time outdoors. Here are a few suggestions: meditate while sitting on the ground; practice yoga or breathing exercises outside; move your body by walking, running, biking, or hiking in nature.

To live in harmony with Mother Earth, make choices that contribute to her well-being. Some examples are: use a refillable water bottle instead of plastic bottles; make a habit of composting your food scraps; use cloth napkins; make food from scratch, and put coffee grounds on your plants instead of throwing them in the trash.

The earth is a source of abundance. If you ever get stuck in a scarcity mindset you can reset your mind by paying attention to nature. Focus on the endless variety of flowers, birds, butterflies, trees, fruits, vegetables, herbs, blades of grass and grains of sand. Remind yourself that you live supported by the earth and all of her abundance.

Eat organic as much as possible. Not only is it better for you, it's better for the planet. When we harm nature with pesticides and pollution, we're also doing harm to ourselves. Choose to live in harmony with Mother Earth by treating her with the respect she deserves.

Like all mothers, Mother Earth loves to be appreciated. Make every day Earth Day by expressing your love and gratitude. I suggest going outdoors and appreciating all the beauty you see in nature, hug a tree or two, and remember to say "thank you."

HAVE A HAPPY EARTH DAY!
